Ken Henson – Pelican Pub & Brewery

Chef Ken Henson grew up in rural Ohio, with cuisine grounded in conservative German, Polish, and Irish Heritage. Chef Henson’s appreciation for food and restaurant life came from spending several years in Italy, Germany, and France. Chef Henson graduated from the Columbus Culinary Academy in 1993 after completing a 3 year ACF apprenticeship with Chef Hartmut Handke in Columbus Ohio, but his true love of cooking and his philosophy of bringing people together through the culinary arts came from the time spent with Chef Luigi Bomparola both in Italy and in the US where love of food and people work naturally together. Chef Henson has served as Executive Chef at numerous restaurants around the country from Las Vegas, Seattle, Northern California, Ohio, and Oregon. He currently resides in Pacific City and is the Executive Chef at the Pelican Pub & Brewery.
